Molly Rickards (7111) VEVO institutional research

"VEVO IS THE WORLD'S LEADING ALL-PREMIUM MUSIC VIDEO AND ENTERTAINMENT PLATFORM."

It is available across the world, including Canada, France and Australia. Additionally, through a special partnership with YouTube, VEVO is accessible in over 200 countries, expanding its access around the globe. VEVO features the most extensive catalog of premium music content found anywhere on the web thanks to deals with such leading music companies Vevo offers music videos from three of the "big four" major record labels: Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and EMI Records, among many others.
VEVO advertises using YouTube, as well as mobile and connected TV; It is also available for a range of platforms including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire, Google TV, Apple TV, Boxee, Roku and the Xbox 360.

Versions of videos on VEVO with explicit content may be edited. This allows VEVO to make their network friendlier to advertising partners such as McDonald's. VEVO has stated that it does not have specific policies or a list of words that are forbidden. Some videos are provided with an explicit version in addition to the censored version. There is no formal rating system in place, aside from classifying videos as explicit or non-explicit, but discussions are taking place to create a rating system that allows users and advertisers to choose the level of profanity they are willing to accept.

With this in mind, I will think about the content of the music video and will consider other cultures when making it, I will research other music videos to help me create a video that may appeal to a worldwide audience.
