Kooks naive i indie genre track which is more narrative based video rather than a performance and concept based video. This is becasue throughout the video a variety of camera shots are used to help the filming imply that is informing the story, the opening of the music video begins with a calm atmosphere, when the main character appears in his room looking as if his other half has been cheating on him. the beginning of the video also signifies that he feels insecure and upset because the hands in his pockets and he looks down onto the floor which also shows his loneliness.
the music video uses a range of mise-en-scene. the use of costume used in the video highlights to the audience that their young adults between the age of 18-21 years old. the male artist is wearing a brown leather jacket, this implies that he is a young teenager/adult who is confused and going through a touch time, due to the lack of care when it comes to appearance.
Throughout the video you follow the singer through his relationship with his girlfriend. This can help with the star persona, as it show that he is a human being, just like eveyone else. Goodwin's theory says that the video and the star should fit together, and the person is saying that he is normal so don't treat him any differently, the mood comes from him doing day to day things from your average party.
the quality of the video is set in normal lighting, the video has seen as a very sad and upsetting story for someone to be going through, to help emphasis this, there is no artificial lighting used to make it look happy yet light hasn't been taken away to make the video look miserable and Gray.
